Gaynor and Steves wedding took place in the beautiful Oxwich Bay, Wales. The venue was the Oxwich Bay Hotel, right by the beach, and around the corner from the remains at Oxwich Castle. So you can imagine, we had some great spots for the wedding photography. The one thing that was playing with us on the day was the weather. Every so often the dark cloud would come over and it would rain buckets, but actually it seemed to clear each time we needed it too!

The bride arrived in a VW Beetle, with the bridesmaids in a VW Camper van, it looked great. The roof was down on the beetle although they’d put it down just at the entrance to the hotel as it had been raining again. The below shot was taken up by the Castle ruins.

As you can see Gaynor was well prepared for the wet weather, these purple wellies came in handy on the beach as well. The castle was a great location although we were running out of luck with the rain at this point, but we had numerous umbrellas, so we managed to stick it out for a while, and I’m really glad we did.

After some family groups, and friends etc, we had a bit of fun. A chance to do some God Father style poses (the groom is half Italian!) and then down to the beach as the sun was blessing us again with its presence.

It was pretty chilly, so the ones that braved the cold and came down to the beach all got in on the action too.

A tequila shot, part of the bestman’s speech included getting Steve to partake in his favourite short. Then the first dance was a great display of Steve’s coordination :)

An amazing day, and I was glad to be part of it.
